Winter is Here!

So after two weeks of sick kids and temper tantrums things are finally looking a little postive again. Winter has really set in was 2 degrees and all the snow gear was on the kids today brrr.. Evies showing her strong charakteristics at the moment ,I must say its not easy with Evie . Shes very determined and stubborn at the same time .In other ways shes completley helpfull and interested, independent and really a nice kid when she´s in good mood. She artistic and has such an amazing imagination. We dance and sing together, shes the princess and Im the Queen mother one of her favourites. She also started being interested in cooking. Its quite difficult for me to let go and let her helpout. Tonight we made chips together. Evie really suprises me with her observations , today she showed me a picture and said mumma this picture was taken when you were pregnant with me. I was like wow we havent looked at these pictures for a really long time. Of course she was speaking in German as she can´t explain as well in English and she can in German. She loves reasing the Steve Erwin book and I´m explaining to her about death at the moment which I don´t think she quite understands but it´s a really interesting thing. I explained how Steve is no longer with us because he had an accident and how all his family and friends were very sad. She soaks it all in. Frankies starting to talk now and it´s really cute. She says Mehr bitte, which means more please. She knows all the names of the family, Mama , Papa, Oma, Opa, Dorena and Evie. She not as chatty as Evie was but she counts to 3 and understands everything. Frankie is also a very determined little lady and usually kicks up a tantrum when she does´nt get what she wants. Terrible two have already started. The kids are fighting allot, over me, over toys. Evie likes to stir Frankie up by taking whatever she has in her hand. This is not alwys easy to control. BUt other times they feed eachother or play really well together. Evie and I are spending a girls weekend together which should be allot of fun.

The Little Ladies

So the last few weeks have been an interesting roller coaster for us and the kids. Olaf and I decided to do a detox which basically cut out anything processed, sugar and Alcohol for two months and we have been dealign with the side effects for the last weeks. Aggghhhh. Not so easy on us and the kids, but we are eventually coming out the other side of the not so nice effects and feeling allot better. This week the kids have been totally relaxed and sooo cute. Im laughing constantly at them. Yesterday the girls walked home from Kindi holding hands the whole way home was very cute. Evie´s really is showing her self independence wanting to do everything by herself. Brushing her teeth by herself, getting dressed , tyeing knots. She even wants to help Frankie put her shoes on, wow its so nice only having to get one kid ready. Frankie has started signign for More which is hilarious because she can already say more , I showed her months ago the sign and shes started signing this week. Evies really feeling at home at Kindi now and loves going . Frankie too is so excited in teh morning to go out of the house. Evie is perfecting her Princess drawings and completely obsessed with the word Poops which means Fart in English. Shes thinks its hilarious calling everyone poops head.

Summertime is Sunshine!!!!

The last month we have fantastic weather here in Northern Germany. Sunshine has filled the house everyday. The kids have been playing outside and making most of the warmth, getting there cloths off. Evie really getting into Kindergarden now and is coming into herself there, She´s very tired at the end of the day from all the wonderful activites they are doing. Frankie also loves going to Monkey haus and stands a the door in the morning waiting to get here shoes and socks on. Frankies new words for this month are More and mehr, and mein, Mama and Papa and thats about it. But we all understand her. Evie´learning from the other kids at Kindi and says , Man oh Man and things like das ist Kool.very funny , oh and she called me a Dumme Kuhe , which means Im a dum Cow I did´nt really app

reciate that one but Im sure theres much worse to come. We were on the train yesterday and she yelled out look theres a really fat man, in German so everyone on the train understands, moments like these are always fun and Im sure there will be many more embarrassing things up to come. The girls are really starting to love each other and hate each other, fighting over everything. But when they wake up in the morning they give eachother big kisses and hugs. mmmmmmwah says Frankie. very cute.

Summer Norway 2012

Another trip to Norway this time Evie went with Oma and Opa for two weeks first then Frankie and I flew to Norway. Unfortunately the weather was´nt so great, We had two really nice days and enjoyed being in the nature with the kids. Evie learnt to ride her bicycle all by herself without training wheels, a huge milestone and Frankie just took in everything like she does. We had lots of fun dancing and drawing and playing games inside the hut when the weather was´nt so nice. We went fishing with Evie , she had loads of fun in the boat.

Endlich Summer

We spent a lovely weekend in Delmenhorst for my Birthday, the sun was shining and perfect. The girls absolutely loved running around with all there clothes off. We also went to the Fahhrad Spielplatz a cute farm where they have a cafe and lots of toys for the kids to play with. Evie is now in Norway for 2 weeks and I am really enjoying having Frankie at home , we both are appreciating the time with her , to watch her develop and laugh at all her cute little mannerisms. In the last week she´s blossoming and starting to talk. She understands everything and follows most directions, turn around, take this to the bin. Touch your nose. She's starting saying Tschuss , Hello, Mamma , Pappa, Tiger , Alle alle. We walked down the Langereihe today and she loves exploring the world on foot, although she already knows where the ice-cream shops are . Thats scary.

Summer In Hamburg

So Im a little bit disappointed with the summer so far in Hamburg. 13 degrees and raining today, got the kids in Winter gear.. ggrrrrr. Oh well we have to be a bit more creative with activities, like drawing painting, and going to exhibitions . Evie s learning to write her name I love it, half of the letters are backwards, and her favourite things to draw at the moment are Princesses.
